Electromagnetic Frequencies (EMF) are types of radiant energy emitted in specific wavelengths of light. Just as the visible electromagnetic spectrum contains a band of light frequencies of different colors, the spectrum extends far beyond visible light (in both directions). Frequencies that exceed the visible light include x-rays, gamma rays and cosmic rays also known as ionizing radiation. Ionizing radiation can damage any atom that it hits by removing an electron from its configuration. On the other end of the spectrum, below the visible light we have microwaves and radiofrequencies known as non-ionizing radiation. This means that they do not contain enough energy to remove an electron from an atom, however they do have energy to create molecular vibrations. This means they can destabilize matter and change the behavior of electrons.
The natural EMFs that living things have been exposed to on earth have been around for billions of years. This includes the electromagnetic spectrum of visible light emitted by our sun, as well as the natural frequencies emitted by the earth’s magnetic field that is created via the interaction between the sun and the earth. In the last few hundreds of years, all living things became exposed to frequencies beyond these spectrums. Today we are exposed to exponentially increasing levels of microwaves and radiofrequencies through the advancement in telecommunications technology. While there is a lot of debate regarding the long term health effects of non-ionizing radiation, there is a plethora of data demonstrating the biological effects. The WHO had classified non-ionizing radiation as “possibly” carcinogenic in 2011, but many international movements are pushing for a higher classification based on the data we have available.
It does not take much of a scientist to understand why man-made EMFs impose such a health risk based upon the principles taught here. One of the most commonly used frequencies in the microwave range for wireless devices is 2.45 GHz. The significance of this frequency is that it is the peak frequency to cause dielectric loss in water. This means that this frequency creates rapid vibrations in the water molecule that destabilizes and alters the hydrogen bonding networks that allow the water to hold an electric charge to drive energy flow. Given that each of the trillions of cells we have is filled with water, and water is used to transfer energy back and forth to proteins and DNA for proper signalling, anything that has the capability to alter water’s behavior in a biological system will be devastating to life. Also given that the purpose of our mitochondria are to produce water in the cell adds to the fact that EMFs place a large stress on our mitochondria to keep up with water production as we become chronically dehydrated from microwave frequencies. We must remember, without water, life cannot exist, because water is the ultimate carrier of light energy from our sun.
Chronic exposure to EMFs has already proven to induce excitotoxic events in cells via activation of the voltage-gated calcium channels resulting in calcium efflux into the cell increasing oxidative stress and damage. This stress occurs chronically given that we live in a world of electrosmog for which there is no escape and no OFF switch.
While most technologically developed nations are well underway in their 4th generation telecommunications technology known as 4G (LTE), many have already began testing and deploying the 5th generation called 5G Internet of Things (IoT). This technology is moving to higher frequency waves that do not travel as far, but have the capability to significantly increase download speed. To deploy this technology with maximal coverage, more antennas need to be placed within close proximity which means the power density of these frequencies and subsequent radiation levels will massively increase. One of the frequencies that 5G technology is looking to work up towards is 60 GHz. While a lot of the biological effects are unknown, the oxygen molecule happens to have a unique, peak absorption spectra at exactly 60 GHz. This frequency is capable of breaking the oxygen molecule which likely means that oxygen levels in the environment will fall dramatically, and as we all know, oxygen is essential for life. It was also found that trees can block the signal of 5G, so areas that are deploying this new technology have already begun clearing forests which further depletes oxygen levels in the environment.
Whether you believe the risks or not, consider this: anything that lowers your cell’s ability to retain light energy, water and oxygen will have devastating effects, no matter what the science says.
